Weekend Gaming - Mario is the new Metroid

We've been seeing that not as many are vising on the weekends, so let's change that!  Time to relax in the backyard, kick up your feet with your beverage of choice and enjoy some gaming news and videos!

For today, I'm sharing three videos I came across that take what we know and are familiar with and turn it on it's head!  First is a Metroid inspired level in Nintendo's Super Mario Maker.  Pixelkabinett was tired on waiting for Nintendo to develop a new Metroid game, so he took matters into his own hands and create the level you see below.  It's amazing what can be created in Super Mario Maker.

Ever used the anonymous chatting services Chatroulette or Omegle?  If you did, you could have experience what could well be the first ever live-action first-person shooter interactive game.  Carried out by professionals, they created the feel of a FPS that was interactive and a blast to watch!  I can't wait to see what this group does next!

And their behind-the-scenes video if you were interested.

Last video I have to share for you is Zelda re-imagined as a spaghetti western, because, why not?  I won't spoil the ending, but it is a big twist!  The actors in this video did a great job!

Hopefully you enjoyed the videos and help us starting something new for the weekend!  Let us know in the comments below what you'd like to see from us over the weekend.  And as always, stay safe goblins.

  1. I love the Zelda one, but why they didn't give Link a sweet hat is beyond me.
