Hi my names is Ryan Jones, I am the owner and operator of GoblinByte, I started this site in January of 2015 with the soul intention of using it as a teaching device for others.  Since it's inception it was just a fun way to share my knowledge of what I've learned, or what I am learning with as many people as I could.  Sure not everything was set in stone, and there is always more learning to be done.  After a short while I caught the eye of a few other bloggers of an IT background, all of them in the same boat, wanting to share their knowledge with others, to help grow and solidify the IT community.

The name GoblinByte went from a Me, to a We in just a few short months.  We are now an army of seven.  Seven well versed IT professionals of multiple different backgrounds, from the twenty year veteran, to the freshly minted IT professional.

We plan to continue delivering quality content that isn't too hum drum, and look to appeal to all audiences.  Some of what we say and share can be overly technical, some of what we say can be as simple as possible, we want to appeal to all audiences big and small.  From the IT veterans, to the grandmother with a computer virus, we are here to help everyone.

The Ads?

The ads despite the fact many may look at them as an excuse to make a quick buck, they are actually in place to purchase equipment for studying, new books, new hardware, all the proceeds will go to educational purposes for both the readers and the writers.  This of course is the initial goal, at this point we haven't surpassed our goal and don't know what will happen if we ever do pass it, but at this point they are strictly in place to recoup any costs for the site, as well as educational funding.

Goal

This blog is all about technology, we aren't a cut and dry fit for any one field.  We are focused on entertaining and educating all interests in regards to technology, the original goal was specifically network security, or any technical security at all.  With an ever expanding market, GoblinByte has decided to envelope all aspects of technology.  We are here to help, to educate, and to share with all types of tech.

Guest Bloggers

We have had a few inquiries for guest bloggers and are more than willing to accept any other guest blogger requests, two of these bloggers will be posting in the near future.
